RingCentral Review

RingCentral provides four subscription plans that differ in price and specifications to accommodate a wide variety of organizations’ budgets and needs. Although most systems have several price points, as RingCentral does, few have as many options. This versatility offers multiple organizations, irrespective of their budgets, the chance to use the service. In the U.S. and Canada, all plans include unlimited calls, unlimited business text messages, iOS and Android smartphone applications, HD voice, visual voicemail, voicemail-to-email , file sharing, team messages, and call logs.

This is a description of how each strategy varies from the others:

The best alternative is the Basics package, which is only open to organizations with 20 customers or less. In this package, there are no audio or video meeting facilities. Per customer per month, it costs $29.99 which provides 100 toll-free minutes. It’s the only proposal for RingCentral that reduces the number of workers that can access it.

For up to 99 accounts, the Regular Package is $34.99 per account per month. For organizations with more than 100 customers, the price declines to $32.99. It provides all in the Basics package, as well as 1,000 toll-free minutes, a multi-level auto-attendant, fax service on the internet, creation and implementation of personalized software, and service quality reports. It also provides for unlimited audio conferencing and video conferencing for up to 100 users, and provides Office 365, G Suite and Slack integrations.

$44.99 per account per month is the Premium rate. For organizations with more than 100 customers, the price declines to $42.99. The Premium package provides everything in the Regular plan, plus 2,500 toll-free minutes, up to 1,200-person video meetings, automated call logging, multisite service, hot desk, real-time analytics, single sign-on, and Salesforce and Zendesk integrations.

The Supreme package, which costs $59.99 per account per month and covers everything in the Premium plan, including 10,000 toll-free minutes, system status updates and warnings, and unlimited capacity, is the most expensive option.

When you pay annually instead of weekly, rates decline by up to 33 percent per consumer. RingCentral does not have a free account, but it provides a risk-free trial of 30 days for all customers.

Although each package starts with one local or-toll-free number, if you want more numbers, there is an extra fee. Toll-free numbers and local numbers are $4.99 a month, and with a flat $30 charge, vanity numbers are available.

Businesses have the luxury of purchasing or renting RingCentral’s desk phones. For $80 to $400 each, you can buy desk phones or loan them for $5 to $21 a month.

RingCentral Features

RingCentral Office is filled with functionality. It has over 50 calling, coordination, and smartphone functions, including monitoring of caller ID, one-touch calling, call logging, call flip, call park, call scanning, intercoms, paging, call logs, contact reminders, missed call updates, auto-attendants, multi-level IVRs, call reports, on-hold audio, answering rules, extensions, and the option to forward calls to various devices.

There are also some choices for voicemail: standard voicemail, voicemail-to-email, video voicemail and transcription of voicemail to text. Audio and HD video conferencing as well as team sharing are among the teamwork methods.

The smartphone app RingCentral, available on iOS and Android smartphones, lets workers make and receive calls on their mobile phones from their company lines. Users can also send and receive faxes and texts using the RingCentral app, set up and attend phone calls, monitor voicemail, change their individual settings, and receive updates.

A mobile is also available at RingCentral. This helps the workers to send and receive calls from their machines, whether from office desktops or laptops connecting to the internet outside the office. All you need to do to use the softphone is plug in a headset or use the computer’s speakers and microphone.

RingCentral provides a range of international calling solutions for firms who wish to connect with colleagues or clients abroad, including full-service coverage in 40 countries and virtual inbound international numbers in more than 100 countries.

Conference Calling at RingCentral

RingCentral leads our list of the best conference calling systems inside a phone scheme, in addition to being the best business phone system.

Each consumer has access to a conference bridge of their own. This suggests that each worker with up to 1,000 members at a time will hold limitless conference calls. You don’t have to think about the guest list being reduced or minutes running out. The 1,000-caller cap is considerably higher than the limits we checked for the other phone systems. At the same time , multiple staff will hold conference calls.

The conferencing service of RingCentral is reservationless, which means you can begin calls immediately. While you can also arrange conferences in advance, as the need arises, this allows you the opportunity to hold an impromptu meeting.

You can choose “activate join before host” when you set up your conference settings, which enables the call to begin and continue without you or another host being present. You will also allow setups that lock the call until it has began and everyone has entered, so that no one else can access the call. The lecture mode helps you to silence the lines of all the participants; the guests can still hear you, but nobody can hear them. For big gatherings where there may be a lot of background noise, this is a helpful function.

Via Microsoft Outlook or your email provider, you can submit conference invites. You only click on “invite via email,” and RingCentral produces an email with the dial-in number and access codes for the guest.

They will phone in using local numbers if you are holding a call for participants outside the U.S. In more than 50 countries, RingCentral delivers local numbers.

You will record your conference free of charge while you are hosting a call and listen to it later. You will still share with someone who was unable to attend the conference your recordings.

RingCentral makes it convenient for phone calls from mobile devices to be joined by hosts and meeting attendees, usually by pressing a button or connection. This saves you the trouble of entering the number and access code of the dial-in.

Operator-assisted calls are the main function absent from RingCentral ‘s conference calling program. With this alternative, you will have a service representative to set the itinerary of the call, welcome callers and take down their contact details, moderate Q&A sessions, and provide transcripts. You would need to locate a company that specializes in operator-assisted calling services if your business holds wide meetings that need this sort of dedicated attention.

The RingCentral Pros

RingCentral is a cloud-hosted system with no special equipment or wiring needed. A high-speed internet service with ample capacity to accommodate the amount of calls your small company makes is what you need. For each voice line, RingCentral suggests that you use a high-speed DSL, cable, or fiber optic link with a dedicated voice upload and download bandwidth of at least 90Kbps. To manage this system, you don’t need a dedicated IT team; RingCentral does all of the repairs and updates.

Its durability is part of what makes RingCentral such a solid business phone solution. It has an uptime of 99.999%, the best possible for cloud-hosted phone systems. This means that for just a few minutes each year, the service is offline.

Worldwide, RingCentral has several data centers. Customers would have no lack of operation if one center closes down or has a malfunction, since the data would shift to one of the other centers automatically. Each data center is supervised 24/7 and staffed by security guards and onsite engineering specialists.

RingCentral enables porting of numbers. This ensures that after signing up for the service, organizations with an existing phone number will transfer their number to RingCentral. You can select a temporary number to use when moving your number before the porting phase is complete, which is usually within 2-4 weeks.

The device is completely managed by an online portal. Administrators may delegate numbers and extensions to workers and build ring groups through this portal. Employees can also log in to adjust their personal settings and use a softphone to make calls from their devices.

Users are recommended to set their cell phone as a number for routing. If you and your staff do this, should your organization lose control or its internet access, you will not miss any calls. Both calls will be immediately routed to the cell phone of the relevant team member in such cases.

RingCentral Cons Contras

One possible drawback to RingCentral is that no audio or video conferencing is provided in the Necessities package. If these are collaboration options you use, you will either need to upgrade to another subscription package or buy different solutions for calling conferences and video conferencing.

The number of complaints lodged with the Better Business Bureau against RingCentral is one area of concern. As of July 2020, over the last three years, 301 lawsuits against the company have been filed. That number is better than we’ve seen for other rivals at RingCentral. RingCentral is approved by the BBB, considering the concerns, and has an A + ranking on the web. Such a high ranking means that all these complaints are being handled by the company. Although RingCentral may not be able to provide everybody with the solution they desire, at least it seeks to fix problems to the satisfaction of everyone.

Supporting Clients

The customer service we got was mostly positive from RingCentral. We approached the organization several times during our study via phone , email and live chat, posing as a business owner involved in phone coverage. Although most of our encounters went fine, we had a few calls and chats that were less than useful. During our initial calls and talks, our most recent experiences with the organization were valuable changes.

Many of the members we interacted with were incredibly supportive in our previous meetings with RingCentral. They promptly took our calls and presented all our questions with in-depth responses. They have highlighted points that we had not contemplated thinking for. We had a good picture of how RingCentral runs, the characteristics it provides and its price points by the end of our calls.

An abundance of useful material is available on the RingCentral website, such as FAQs, animations, case studies, webinars and whitepapers. 24/7, the business delivers phone and chat service.
